Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, with a 79 score against 75.8. Both devices in this review use Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has an older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S construction is incredibly newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's, although it is heavier and a bit thicker.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro have extremely similar screens, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a quite smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, it also counts with a bit higher screen density.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a better memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a lot better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a way better 3840x2160 video quality, a back camera with way more MP and a larger aperture.
