HTC U Ultra has a global score of 77, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's score of 72.1. Even though HTC U Ultra is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, we must tell that it's also a bit thicker and heavier. The HTC U Ultra counts with a better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a lot higher screen pixel density and a little bit larger screen.
HTC U Ultra has a much bigger storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have equal internal memory, the HTC U Ultra also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 1,95 TB. HTC U Ultra has a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it has a lower number of cores , they both have a 4 GB RAM.
HTC U Ultra captures much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a back facing camera with a worse 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video quality and a larger camera aperture. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a bit longer battery life than HTC U Ultra, because it has a 3 percent more battery capacity.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
