Comparison review
HTC U11 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with a 77.6 score against 72.1. Despite being the best phone we compare here, HTC U11's design is just a little bit heavier and a bit thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. The HTC U11 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the HTC U11 also has a much higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a way better display density.
HTC U11 has as much storage to store more games and applications as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 one, both have equal 64 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The HTC U11 has a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both have 8 cores and 4 GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a little longer battery lifetime than HTC U11, because it has 3080mAh of battery capacity.
HTC U11 captures much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a camera with less mega-pixels, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video definition and a much bigger diafragm aperture.
Although HTC U11 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
