Comparison review
Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design has a score of 80.1, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's overall score of 72.1. Both devices we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Although it's the best phone in our current comparison, the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design design is a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1.
The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design features a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better 1080 x 2160 resolution, a way greater screen pixel density and a little bit larger display. Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design counts with a way bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design has just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design features improved battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 takes better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design, because although it has a much smaller aperture which is worse for capturing images or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also counts with a better 13 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
Although Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
