Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with a score of 79.5 against 72.1. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat, so it provides a lot of extra features. Huawei Mate 20 is a newer phone than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but it is a bit thicker and somewhat heavier.
Huawei Mate 20 has an incredibly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger display, a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels and a better display density. Huawei Mate 20 counts with a slightly better storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. They have 8 processing cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 has superior battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3080mAh. Huawei Mate 20 has a better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a camera in the back with less megapixels, it also counts with a much higher video definition and a bigger aperture to take better low-light photos.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some specifications.
