Huawei Mate 20 lite is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a 76.2 score against 72.1. The Huawei Mate 20 lite construction has the same thickness than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but it's somewhat heavier. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 20 lite has newer 8.1 Oreo version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version, so it provides some extra features.
The Huawei Mate 20 lite has just a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount. The Huawei Mate 20 lite counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much greater quantity of pixels per display inch, a quite larger screen and a way better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20 lite has a greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 lite takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has a larger aperture to capture better low-light photos and videos, higher 60 frames per second video frame rates and a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
