The Huawei Mate X has an overall score of 89.4, which is way better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 score. Although the Huawei Mate X is noticeably newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it is notably heavier and a lot thicker. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate X has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat, so it provides you lots of additional features.
Huawei Mate X has a more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Huawei Mate X counts with a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much higher 2200 x 2480 resolution, a really larger display and a way higher pixel count per inch of screen.
Huawei Mate X shoots clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger camera aperture and a lot more mega-pixels back camera. Huawei Mate X features a very superior memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Huawei Mate X has a much longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3080mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple specs and features.
