The Huawei nova 5T is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having an 80.8 score against 72.1. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei nova 5T has 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. The Huawei nova 5T body is newer than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's, but it's heavier and just a bit thicker.
The Huawei nova 5T has a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2340, much more pixels per inch of display and a bit larger screen. Huawei nova 5T features a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei nova 5T also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Huawei nova 5T has just a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei nova 5T counts with improved battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 3750mAh battery capacity.
The Huawei nova 5T features a way better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger aperture to take better low light images, a way better (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution.
