Huawei P40 is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with a global score of 86.4 against 72.1. The Huawei P40 is a much newer cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it's a little thicker and heavier. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 has the older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
Huawei P40 counts with a better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a way higher display pixels density and a little bigger display.
