Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a global score of 79.5 against 72.1. Even though Huawei P40 Lite is much newer than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it is heavier and thicker. Both phones in this comparison review have Android OS, but Huawei P40 Lite has older 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
Huawei P40 Lite has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a greater amount of RAM. Huawei P40 Lite counts with a better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2310px, a larger screen and a better pixel count per display inch.
Huawei P40 Lite has a very superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures.
Huawei P40 Lite counts with a little bit more storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei P40 Lite costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
