Nokia XR20 is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having an 80.8 score against 72.1. The Nokia XR20 is a incredibly newer phone than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it is much heavier and much thicker. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Nokia XR20 has the older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Nokia XR20 features a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Nokia XR20 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Nokia XR20 features a much better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2400, a bigger screen and a higher screen pixels density.
Nokia XR20 has a much greater storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB and more internal storage. The Nokia XR20 has a very superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same video quality, the Nokia XR20 also has better video frame rate, a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light captures and video and a way more mega pixels back-facing camera.
The Nokia XR20 has a much better battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4630mAh of battery capacity against 3080mAh.
Although Nokia XR20 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
