Nubia Red Magic 5S has a global score of 76.2, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's global score of 72.1. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the nubia Red Magic 5S has older 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Nubia Red Magic 5S is a way newer cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it is incredibly thicker and extremely heavier.
The nubia Red Magic 5S has a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a larger display, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2340px and more pixels per inch of screen. Nubia Red Magic 5S has a slightly better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Nubia Red Magic 5S has a quite better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have 8 cores, the nubia Red Magic 5S also has more RAM memory. The nubia Red Magic 5S captures much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photography and video, a much more megapixels camera in the back and a much higher 7680x4320 video quality.
Nubia Red Magic 5S counts with a very superior battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3080mAh.
Although nubia Red Magic 5S is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
