Comparison review
Galaxy A70 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a general score of 76.9 against 72.1. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A70 has the previous 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Galaxy A70's construction is newer, but a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Y1.
The Galaxy A70 has a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A70 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy A70 has a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a higher screen pixel density, a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a larger screen.
The Galaxy A70 counts with a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that allows up to 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy A70 has a much better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3080mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A70, although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture, they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Galaxy A70 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy A70, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some specifications.
