Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy C5 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a 76.4 score against 72.1. Samsung Galaxy C5 is an older phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but it's thinner and a little bit lighter anyway. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy C5 has the previous 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Galaxy C5 features just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM memory. The Galaxy C5 has a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much higher 1080 x 1920 resolution and a way higher number of pixels per display inch.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Samsung Galaxy C5 have really similar memory for apps and games, they have a SD extension slot that supports up to 128 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal storage. Galaxy C5 takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy C5 also has a more mega pixels back facing camera and a bigger aperture to capture better low light photography.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features improved battery duration than Samsung Galaxy C5, because it has an 18% more battery size.
