Galaxy Note 3 is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a overall score of 81.2 against 72.1. The Galaxy Note 3 is a way older, a little heavier and just a little bit thicker cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 3 has older 5.0 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory and a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy Note 3 features an incredibly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bit larger screen, a better pixels density and a way higher 1920 x 1080px resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a little bit more storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera and the same aperture, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also has a much better 3840x2160 video definition.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
