Comparison review
The Galaxy S20 is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having a 94.8 score against 72.1. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S20 has the older 13 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. The Galaxy S20 construction is notably newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1's, but it's just a little bit heavier and a bit thicker.
Samsung Galaxy S20 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much better 1440 x 3200px resolution, a way better display density and a bit bigger screen. Samsung Galaxy S20 has a more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy S20 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy S20 features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Galaxy S20 counts with longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a back-facing camera with lesser megapixels, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos and a lot better 7680x4320 video quality.
Although Galaxy S20 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
