Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with a global score of 77.8 against 72.1. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has the previous 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Even being the best in this review, we must tell that it's also much older, a bit heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport counts with a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy S5 Sport has a much sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with much more pixels per display inch and a lot higher 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with a much better memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has 64 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features just a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has 3080mAh of battery capacity.
Galaxy S5 Sport shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a same size aperture, the Galaxy S5 Sport also has a much higher video definition and a more megapixels back-facing camera.
Although Galaxy S5 Sport is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
