Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Edge has a score of 85.7, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 score. Despite of the fact that the Galaxy S6 Edge is noticeably older than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it's body is just a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter. These devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy S6 Edge has an older 5.0 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
The Galaxy S6 Edge features a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 2560 x 1440px resolution and a much higher screen pixel density. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a slightly better storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has a more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an additional GPU and a 64-bits CPU. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features longer battery duration than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has an 18 percent more battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a back-facing camera with a lower 13 mega pixels resolution, a way worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a smaller aperture which is not recommended for capturing photos and videos in low-light environments.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
