Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S9 is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having an 83.3 score against 72.1. Even being the best phone in this comparison, we must highlight that it is also a little bit thicker and just a bit heavier. Galaxy S9 counts with a way better display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a way better 1440 x 2960 resolution, a little bit larger display and a much greater screen pixel density.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 features a bigger storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a better performing CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of them have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores.
The Galaxy S9 features a superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a way bigger camera aperture for better low-light photos and a much better 3840x2160 video quality. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy S9, because it has 3080mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
