Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting an 80.1 score against 72.1. Both phones we compare here use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version, so it provides the user some nice extra features. The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro design is notably newer, but a lot thicker and a lot heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Y1.
Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a way better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a lot better display pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM memory.
Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a way smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also counts with a more megapixels back camera.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a much longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3080mAh.
Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
