Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having an 81 score against 72.1. The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is a much newer cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but it's way heavier and a lot thicker. These phones use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro has older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
Galaxy XCover Pro features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much better pixels quantity per inch of screen, a little bit bigger display and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340px. Galaxy XCover Pro has a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and 8 CPU cores.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro features a quite bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy XCover Pro counts with superior battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 31% bigger battery size.
Galaxy XCover Pro takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Galaxy XCover Pro also has a much bigger camera aperture to take better low light captures and video and a much more megapixels camera in the back.
Although Galaxy XCover Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
