Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with an 82.6 score against 72.1. Sony Xperia 1 is a newer device than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, but it is heavier and just a little thicker. The Xperia 1 has a superior hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Xperia 1 has a much sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a way greater pixel density, a bigger screen and a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution. Xperia 1 counts with much more memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory.
Xperia 1 features just a bit better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 3330mAh battery size against 3080mAh. Xperia 1 has just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a less MP resolution back camera, it also counts with a lot better video quality and a way larger camera aperture to take better low light images and video.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, letting go some features and specs.
