Comparison review
Xperia 1 V is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with an 82.7 score against 72.1. These phones work with Android OS, but the Xperia 1 V has older 13 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. The Xperia 1 V design is newer than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's, but it's a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a much powerful processing unit than Xperia 1 V, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Sony Xperia 1 V features an incredibly better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger display, a lot better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a much higher screen pixel density.
Xperia 1 V features a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia 1 V shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a larger aperture for better low light photography, a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with way more MP.
The Xperia 1 V features a very superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
