Sony Xperia Z3 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, with a 77.3 score against 72.1. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia Z3 has the older 4.4.4 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Despite being the best in this review, Sony Xperia Z3's design is incredibly older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Y1.
The Xperia Z3 features a much better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a much better quantity of pixels per display inch. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z3, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has more internal storage.
The Xperia Z3 features a little faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster) and lesser RAM, it also counts with a GPU. The Sony Xperia Z3 counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much better video definition, a back facing camera with lot more megapixels and a bigger aperture to take better low-light images and videos.
The Sony Xperia Z3 has a bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 3200mAh battery size.
