Comparison review
The TCL 20 Pro 5G is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a 76.1 score against 72.1. Although the TCL 20 Pro 5G is notably newer than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it is thicker and somewhat heavier. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but TCL 20 Pro 5G has an older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
TCL 20 Pro 5G features a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a higher amount of RAM. TCL 20 Pro 5G features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a greater pixels number in each inch of screen, a larger display and a lot higher 1080 x 2400 resolution.
TCL 20 Pro 5G has a much greater storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 192 GB more internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. The TCL 20 Pro 5G captures a lot better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger aperture for better images and video in low-light environments, a much more megapixels back camera and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G has a very superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3080mAh.
