Comparison review
Xiaomi 14 is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, getting a global score of 79.4 against 72.1. Xiaomi 14's design is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1's, although it's just a little thicker and heavier. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but the Xiaomi 14 has 14 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Xiaomi 14 counts with a lot better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a much better pixels count per inch of screen, a lot better resolution of 1200 x 2670 pixels and a bigger display. The Xiaomi 14 has a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with a much greater processing power than Xiaomi 14, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Xiaomi 14 shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better video resolution, a way bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photography and videos and a way higher 50 mega pixels resolution back camera.
The Xiaomi 14 has a really longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 50% larger battery capacity.
