Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having a overall score of 78.1 against 72.1. These devices use Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Even though Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it must be noted that it's also older, just a bit heavier and a little thicker.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better 1080 x 1920px resolution, a higher pixels count per inch of display and a quite larger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features just a bit bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with improved battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 3800mAh battery capacity against 3080mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus captures slightly better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus also has a larger aperture for better photography and videos in low-light situations and a much better 3840x2160 video quality.
