Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having a global score of 83.8 against 72.1. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s's construction is just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s features a superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s also has more RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s counts with a brighter display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bit bigger display, a lot better pixel density and a way higher 1080 x 2160 resolution. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a back camera with a lower resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better photos and video in low light environments and a much higher (4K) video quality.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s counts with just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3080mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some specs and features.
