Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has an overall score of 80.6, which is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 general score. Although the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is notably newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it's noticeably thicker and noticeably heavier. Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has an older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite counts with a much better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger display, a way higher 1080 x 2340 resolution and a better display density. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 128 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite features a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite features a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 71 percent bigger battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite captures much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a larger aperture to capture better low light photography, a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a camera with a lot better 64 mega pixels resolution.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features and specs.
