Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a general score of 76.6, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 global score. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has an older 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a a lot newer phone than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it is thicker and incredibly heavier.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger display, a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2340px and more pixels per inch of display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 feature incredibly similar memory to install games and applications, they have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 128 GB and the same internal storage capacity. Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some features and specs.
