Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a general score of 78.7, which is slightly better than the ZTE Axon 20's global score of 77.8. Despite of the fact that Huawei Mate 9 Pro is way older than the ZTE Axon 20, it's design is just a little thinner and lighter. These phones include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and ZTE Axon 20 has Android 10 version.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit better looking screen than ZTE Axon 20, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a higher amount of pixels per inch of display and a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2560. ZTE Axon 20 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the ZTE Axon 20 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The ZTE Axon 20 shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the ZTE Axon 20 also has better video frame rates, a lot more mega-pixels camera, a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light photography and videos and a lot larger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's memory to store more apps and games is just as good as the ZTE Axon 20 one, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. ZTE Axon 20 features just a little better battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 6% greater battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the ZTE Axon 20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the ZTE Axon 20. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the ZTE Axon 20, letting go some specifications.
