Xperia Z3 is much better than ZTE Grand X Max+, with a 77.3 score against 57.6. These phones come with the same Android 4.4.4 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect. Xperia Z3's body is thicker but just a little lighter than ZTE Grand X Max+, and they were released with only a couple months difference.

The Xperia Z3 counts with a battery performance that's just as good as the battery duration in ZTE Grand X Max+. Xperia Z3 counts with a lot better camera than ZTE Grand X Max+, because it has a camera with a way higher 20.7 megapixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is a little more expensive than the ZTE Grand X Max+, but you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
