The Xperia Ion has a general score of 61.3, which is just a bit better than ZTE Max+'s score of 56. Both devices in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Xperia Ion has the previous 4.1.2 version and ZTE Max+ has Android 5.1 version. Even though Xperia Ion is extremely older and a little bit thicker than the ZTE Max+, it's construction is still much lighter.

Xperia Ion counts with just a little better performance than ZTE Max+, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and faster). Sony Xperia Ion features a bit better looking display than ZTE Max+, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the Sony Xperia Ion also counts with a better screen density.

The Sony Xperia Ion captures a little bit better videos and photos than ZTE Max+, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Sony Xperia Ion also has a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera. The ZTE Max+ counts with just a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Ion, and although they both have the same internal memory, the ZTE Max+ also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

The ZTE Max+ features a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia Ion, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity against 1900mAh.

Sony Xperia Ion is not only the best phones of the ones in this comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper, making this phone an obvious call.
