Sony Xperia Ion is a little bit better than ZTE ZMAX 2, with a score of 61.3 against 55.9. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Ion has older 4.1.2 version and ZTE ZMAX 2 has Android 5.1 version. The Sony Xperia Ion design is somewhat lighter than the ZTE ZMAX 2, although it is somewhat thicker and was released many years before.
The Sony Xperia Ion counts with a bit more powerful CPU than ZTE ZMAX 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more processing cores. Xperia Ion features a slightly better display than ZTE ZMAX 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same 1280 x 720 resolution, the Xperia Ion also counts with a quite better pixel density.
The ZTE ZMAX 2 features a slightly better storage for games and applications than Sony Xperia Ion, and although they both have equal internal storage, the ZTE ZMAX 2 also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB. ZTE ZMAX 2 has a much longer battery duration than Xperia Ion, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.
The Sony Xperia Ion takes a bit better videos and photos than ZTE ZMAX 2, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Ion also has a back facing camera with lot more megapixels.
Despite of being the best phone in our current comparison, Xperia Ion is also a bargain compared to others, which makes it an easy decision.
