Alcatel U5 HD Review

Alcatel U5 HD is a mid-end cellphone released many years ago, equipped with a quite big 5" screen, a fast 1100 MHz Quad-Core processor, and two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front camera.

This cellphone is available just in 16 777 216 color. Alcatel made a great job making this phone weight just 4.57 oz. This phone just has 5.58 inches long, but it's still able to fit a a 5" display. The Alcatel U5 HD has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches.

This cellphone is equipped with a good performance Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1100 MHz, bundled in a MediaTek MT6737 chip with 1 GB of RAM. A nice advantage of this cellphone is the 8 GB quite big internal memory and a slot for external memory cards, which allows you to store a couple hundred apps without any trouble.

This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone is equipped with a very good 5-inches display with a 720 x 1280 (HD) resolution, which makes all photos and videos look great.

This cellphone comes with a huge 2200 mAh Li - Ion non-replaceable battery providing this phone an average battery life. An issue to evaluate is that this phone's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it starts to last shorter, even though with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new cellphone before that becomes a real problem.

The Alcatel U5 HD counts with Wi-Fi capability (and it can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE fast internet connection and also HSPA+ connection type, a slower 4G technology and fast 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.

This phone also features a few useful characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
