Apple Watch Series 1 (42mm) is a mid-end watchOS phone released some years ago, in 2015, which counts with a small 1.6 inches screen and a quite powerful 520 megahertz Dual-Core CPU.
Apple decided to build this phone with a powerful Dual-Core CPU speeding at 520 megahertz, included in the Apple S1P (28 nm) system chip and 512 MB of RAM memory. This cellphone comes with an 8 GB quite large internal storage and while it doesn't include an external memory slot, it should be enough to install hundreds of applications and games, but it might not be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games currently available or taking tons of pictures and videos.
This time, it seems like Apple forgot about weight optimization in this 0.88 ounces cellphone. The Watch Series 1 (42mm) is available in a nice range of color variations like gold, gray, rose gold and silver. This cellphone uses Plastic and Aluminum . This phone's thickness (0.41 inches) is a bit far from today's standards, but it still feels fine in the user's hand.
The Watch Series 1 (42mm) has no cameras at all.
Apple packed this phone with a high-tech 1.6" display, and a 312 x 390 resolution, providing this device with a unique graphic quality.
This phone counts with WiFi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a modem). The Watch Series 1 (42mm) doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services.
This cellphone also includes a few nice features such as Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
The Apple Watch Series 1 (42mm) uses a 250 mAh small capacity non-replaceable battery that provides this phone a quite short battery life comparing with other similar phones. A big issue to consider is that the Apple Watch Series 1 (42mm)'s battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to get older, having to buy a new phone to "solve it".
