BLU Energy X Plus Review

BLU Energy X Plus is a mid level phone released some years ago, in 2015, featuring a Quad-Core processing unit running at 1.3 gigahertz, a big size 5.5" display, an 8 MP back side camera and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera. Let's take a deeper sight of what this phone has to offer.

BLU is offering the BLU Energy X Plus in 16 777 216 color. BLU didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 6.28 oz cellphone. This cellphone is very thin, being just 0.31" thick. This cellphone is a compact cellphone, taking into account that it features a 5.5" screen and it only has 5.93 inches long and 3.01" wide.

BLU decided to build this device with a MediaTek MT6582 chip, which holds a high performance Quad-Core CPU running at 1.3 gigahertz and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing comparing with its impressive processor. A good point of the BLU Energy X Plus is its quite large 8 GB internal storage and an external memory card slot, which allows the user to store a couple hundred games and applications without worrying about space.

This phone has a very good 5.5" screen with a 720 x 1280 (HD) resolution, making everything look colorful and brightful.

This cellphone provides Wi-Fi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) connectivity, that is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA technologies. This cellphone doesn't have a sim card, because it's not a GSM phone.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front facing camera. This phone can also capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps.

The BLU Energy X Plus has a big capacity 4000 mAh Li - Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep this device running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery isn't removable so you can't change it when it starts to lose capacity, while with such a huge battery size you will probably replace this cellphone before it becomes an issue.

This device also includes some nice features as Bluetooth (4.0 ) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
