BLU decided to power this phone using a MediaTek MT6580 system chip, including a very fast Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.3 gigahertz and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for a cellphone this good. An interesting feature of this phone is its big 8 GB internal storage and an external memory slot, which allows you to install a couple hundred games and applications without any problem.
This device feels much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone this size. BLU made the BLU Energy X Plus 2 in 3 different color options, gold, gray and pink. The BLU Energy X Plus 2 is a compact cellphone, considering it has a 5.5 inches screen and it is just 6.07" long and 3.05" wide. This cellphone is extremely slim, being just 0.38" thick. BLU packed this phone with a good level 5.5 inches display, and a resolution of 720 x 1280 (HD), which makes everything look beautiful.
The BLU Energy X Plus 2 includes WiFi connectivity (which it can share with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connection type, which is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA technologies. The BLU Energy X Plus 2 doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks.
This phone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 5 megapixels front camera. It is also able to capture videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps.
This cellphone comes with a 4900 mAh big Li - Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this cellphone with a great battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that this phone's battery isn't removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, even though having 4900 mAh you will probably buy a new cellphone before it becomes a real problem.
This device also includes some useful features such as Bluetooth (4.0 ), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
