This phone feels much lighter than what one would expect from a cellphone this size. Regarding its materials, the BLU R1 HD is built with Aluminum . Being just 0.34" thick,this cellphone is extremely slim and good-looking. Whereas this cellphone is only 5.65" long and 2.83 inches wide, it manages to pack a 5" screen. This phone is only available in color 16 777 216.
BLU ships this phone with a MediaTek MT6735 chip, including an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit running at 1.3 gigahertz with a huge 2 GB RAM. The BLU R1 HD comes with a 16 GB quite large internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card, allowing you to install a couple hundred applications and games without any problem.
This device is equipped with a good level 720 x 1280 (HD) 5-inches screen, which makes all images and movies look very good.
This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to film videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second.
The BLU R1 HD packs a big capacity 2500 mAh Li - Polymer non-replaceable battery that can keep this phone running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without having to charge it at all. An issue to evaluate is that this device's battery is non-replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to get older, although with its 2500 mAh you will probably buy a new device before that becomes an issue.
This phone has wi-fi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high speed internet connection and also HSPA+ internet connection, a lower speed 4G network and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA technologies.
