BLU sells this phone with a MediaTek MT6582 system chip, holding a good performance 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processing unit with 512 MB RAM. This cellphone comes with a moderate 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering it also has an SD extension slot .
This cellphone is very slim and practical, being just 0.36" thick. While the BLU Star 4.5 only has 5.03" long and 2.53 inches wide, it's still able to fit a a 4.5" screen. BLU didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.69 ounces phone. The BLU Star 4.5 is for sale in 16 777 216 color.
BLU designed this cellphone with a interesting 4.5-inches screen, and a 480 x 854 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the screen.
This cellphone offers wi-fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a router or modem), HSPA+ (4G) connection type, which is not so fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA technologies. The BLU Star 4.5 doesn't have a SIM card, because it's not a GSM enabled phone.
This phone has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second.
The BLU Star 4.5 also features some cool features such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other phones and accessories), GPS Localization and Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The BLU Star 4.5 uses a 1700 mAh medium removable battery that provides this cellphone a quite short battery lifecompared to other cellphones.
