General Mobile Discovery Review

General Mobile Discovery is a mid-to-low level device, packing a 4.7 inches screen, a great performance Quad-Core processing unit clocking at 1200 megahertz, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the tip of the iceberg.

This device is sold in three different colors, black, blue and white. The General Mobile Discovery is just 0.3" thick, making its way into the thinnest cellphones podium. This phone just has 5.39" long and 2.69" wide, but it is able to fit a a 4.7" screen. This phone isn't very light comparing to other phones , with a weight of 5.82 ounces.

This cellphone is equipped with an absolutely amazing 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.7" display, which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels forming the display. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This phone is equipped with a great performance Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1200 megahertz with 1 GB RAM memory. The General Mobile Discovery counts with a moderate 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering that this phone also has an external SD slot .

The General Mobile Discovery features wifi connectivity (although it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSPA and EDGE technologies. This phone has 2 SIM cards so it is able to use 2 different phone numbers and even different carriers in the same phone.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. It is capable of shooting 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 frames per second. The camera also counts with a lot of valuable features like flash, face detection shooting, auto-focus, smile detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This phone also comes with a handful of interesting features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone packs a 1800 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate usage. According to General Mobile, the General Mobile Discovery has an aproximate 14 hours talk time and a 270 hours stand by time.
