GIGABYTE G1342 Review

GIGABYTE G1342 is a low level Android cellphone, coming with a medium sized 3.5-inches multi touch capacitive screen, a powerful 800 megahertz CPU and a 5 megapixels back camera. That's all? Not at all, it's just the shortest summary in history.

Gigabyte decided to build this cellphone with a fast processor speeding at 800 MHz with 512 MB RAM memory.

Gigabyte just sells this device in color black. The GIGABYTE G1342 isn't a very compact cellphone, considering it is 4.76" long and 2.46" wide,but it just contains a 3.5 inches screen. Gigabyte didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.48 oz phone.

The GIGABYTE G1342 only has a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. This camera also features flash.

Gigabyte designed this phone with a good level 3.5-inches screen, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , giving this phone a nice graphical experience. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone features a mid sized 1300 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides the GIGABYTE G1342 a poor battery durationcompared to other devices. This cellphone has a reported stand by time of 144 hours and a talk time of 4.8 hours according to Gigabyte.

This phone provides wi-fi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connection type, supported by HSPA and EDGE technologies. The GIGABYTE G1342 comes with 2 SIM cards so it's able to work with 2 different phone numbers.

This device also features a few nice characteristics like Bluetooth (3.0, EDR) and GPS, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
