GigaByte G1345 Review

GigaByte G1345 is a quite basic cellphone, provisioned with a fast 800 MHz processing unit, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 3.5" multi touch screen. Let's take a closer look at what this cellphone can do.

This cellphone comes with a Qualcomm MSM7227-T system chip, including a good performance CPU speeding at 800 MHz with 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic intensive games and apps often eats a lot of CPU cycles, so the GigaByte G1345 also has an extra 320 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU to unload the processor.

This time, it seems like Gigabyte decided not to care so much about the weight in this 4.35 ounces cellphone. The GigaByte G1345 is 4.72" long, it just holds a much smaller 3.5" screen. This device is a little bit thick for today's standards, with a thickness of 0.55 inches.

The GigaByte G1345 is equipped with only a 5 MP back side camera. This cellphone also includes flash and auto-focus.

This cellphone has a nice 3.5" display with a 480 x 320 resolution, providing this device with a regular image quality. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone features a mid sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for some hours, but you may need to charge it even after moderate use. Gigabyte informs a stand by time of 115 hours and a talk time of 4.5 hours for this phone.

The GigaByte G1345 offers WiFi connectivity (but it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connection type, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses 2 SIM cards to be able to to work with two different phone lines and even different carriers.

This cellphone also includes a handful of nice characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
