GIGABYTE GSmart i300 Review

GIGABYTE GSmart i300 is a low end cellphone, counting with a small sized 2.4" display, a quite powerful 520 megahertz processor and a 2 megapixels back-facing camera. Let's take a better view of what this cellphone has to offer.

Gigabyte decided to build this device with a fast CPU ticking at 520 MHz with only 64 MB RAM memory.

The GIGABYTE GSmart i300 is a bit thick compared to nowadays phones, with a thickness of 0.74". Though this phone is as big as 4.03 inches long and 2.02" wide, it only comes with a much smaller 2.4 inches display. Gigabyte didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.09 ounces phone, much heavier than other similar devices.

Gigabyte equipped the GIGABYTE GSmart i300 with a good 2.4-inches display, and a 320 x 240 (QVGA) resolution, making everything look quite good. This display uses TFT resistive technology, but it doesn't allow multi-touch gestures.

This phone is equipped with only a 2 MP back facing camera.

This device counts with wi-fi connection (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot). This cellphone works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The GIGABYTE GSmart i300 packs a 920 mAh poor capacity Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will need to charge it even after moderate usage. According to Gigabyte, the GIGABYTE GSmart i300 has a reported 3 hs talk time and a 110 hs stand by time.
