Gionee Elife S5.1 Review

Gionee Elife S5.1 is a mid-end Android phone launched back in the year 2014, provisioned with an extremely powerful 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processing unit, a 4.8-inches screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's just the tip of the iceberg.

This phone has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.2 inches. Even though this phone just has 5.5" long, it is still able to fit a a 4.8 inches screen. Gionee has made a really good job making this phone weight only 3.44 oz. Gionee just offers this phone in color 16 777 216.

Gionee sells this cellphone with a very fast 1.7 gigahertz Octa-Core CPU, packed into a MediaTek MT6592 chip and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit low for such a powerful phone. A nice advantage of this cellphone is its quite large 8 GB internal memory and though it doesn't count with an SD memory slot, it should be enough to store a couple hundred applications, although it probably wouldn't be suitable if you are planning to install some of the largest games currently available.

Gionee designed the Gionee Elife S5.1 with a spectacular 4.8" screen, and a 720 x 1280 (HD) resolution, which makes it impossible to even see the pixels composing the screen.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 5 megapixels front camera. This cellphone also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos.

This cellphone includes Wi-Fi connectivity (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot). The Gionee Elife S5.1 doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM networks.

The Gionee Elife S5.1 counts with a 2050 mAh long lasting Li - Ion replaceable battery that can keep this cellphone running for many hours, although you may need to charge it after some heavy use.

This cellphone also features a handful of cool features like Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
