Huawei IDEOS X6 Review

Huawei IDEOS X6 is a bit outdated cellphone launched some years ago, in 2010, counting with a 5 MP back camera, a great performance 1000 megahertz processing unit and a medium 4.1" capacitive touch-screen. That's all? No, it's only the tip of the iceberg.

This phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip, including a great performance 1 gigahertz CPU with 512 MB RAM memory. To help with graphic intensive apps, it also has a 245 MHz Adreno 205 graphics processing unit. This phone comes with areasonable 2 GB internal memory, which is fine knowing that this device also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store songs, photographs and videos and even some applications that can be installed in the external memory.

This phone is a very compact device, given that it features a 4.1" display and it's only 4.8" long and 2.28 inches wide. Being just 0.39 inches thick,this cellphone is very thin and practical. Huawei didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.04 oz phone, much heavier than other similar phones.

This cellphone only features a 5 MP back side camera. It can also capture 1280x720 HD videos at 30 frames per second. The camera also includes a couple of useful features like flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

This device is equipped with a very good 800 x 480 4.1 inches display, making everything look very nice. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This cellphone has WiFi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Huawei IDEOS X6 uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This phone comes with a good 1400 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a below average battery life.

This device also includes a few useful features like Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and Accelerometer.
