i-mate JAQ3 Review

Score: 32.9 / 100

I-mate JAQ3 is a modest Windows Mobile Professional cellphone, including a small 2.5 inches touch-screen and a 2 megapixels back-facing camera. That's all? No, it's just the introduction.

I-mate appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.64 oz phone. This phone is quite thick for current standards, with its 0.57" thickness. Even though this cellphone is 4.96" long, it only contains a way smaller 2.5" screen.

I-mate packed the i-mate JAQ3 with a good 2.5-inches display, and a resolution of 240 x 320 (QVGA), making everything look quite vivid. Its display uses LCD resistive technology, but it doesn't allow multi-touch gestures.

The i-mate JAQ3 features Wi-Fi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G data connection, using EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This phone is equipped with only a 2 megapixels back facing camera.

This device comes with a 1200 mAh small capacity Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding phone like this. According to i-mate, this cellphone has a reported talk time of 4 hours and a stand by time of 150 hs.
