i-mate Ultimate 5150 Review

I-mate Ultimate 5150 is a low end device released many years ago, packed with a compact 2.8 inches touch-screen, a 2 MP back facing camera and a quite powerful 520 MHz CPU.

I-mate decided to sell this phone with a fast CPU ticking at 520 MHz and only 128 MB RAM memory.

This phone is 4.6 inches long and 2.38 inches wide, but it's only able to hold a way smaller 2.8 inches screen. The i-mate Ultimate 5150 is a bit thick compared to today's cellphones, being as thick as 0.76 inches.

I-mate packed the i-mate Ultimate 5150 with a nice 2.8-inches screen, and a 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels composing the screen. This screen uses TFT resistive technology, but it's not multi-touch.

This phone includes wifi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a wireless modem) and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM services.

The i-mate Ultimate 5150 only has a 2 mega-pixels back facing camera.

This device uses a medium capacity 1400 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you will need to charge it even after moderate use.
