Karbonn Alfa A18 Review

Karbonn Alfa A18 is a mid-end phone, having a 4" screen, a Quad-Core processor ticking at 1200 MHz, and two cameras, a 2 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera.

The Karbonn Alfa A18 is offerred in three colors, black, gray and white. This device's thickness (0.42") is a bit far from today's standards, but it still feels right in the user's hand. This device feels much lighter than what you expect from a device of this size.

Karbonn decided to equip this device using a fast Quad-Core CPU running at 1.2 GHz and 512 MB RAM. This cellphone counts with a passable 4 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for most users considering this cellphone also has a slot for an SD memory card to store songs, photos and videos and even some apps that can be installed in the external memory.

Karbonn packed this phone with a good looking 4-inches screen, and a 480 x 800 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the screen.

This phone has wi-fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot). The Karbonn Alfa A18 doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM networks.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 2 MP back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera.

This phone counts with a 1400 mAh medium sized Li - Ion non-replaceable battery that provides the Karbonn Alfa A18 a poor battery duration. A key issue to consider is that this cellphone's battery is non-removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, having to buy a new cellphone to "solve it" or maybe take it to an expert who can disassemble the phone and replace the battery.
