The LAVA A44 comes with a fast 1100 megahertz Quad-Core processor, included in a MediaTek M6737M system chip with 1 GB of RAM. A good point of this phone is its big 8 GB internal memory and though it doesn't include an SD memory slot, it should be enough to install hundreds of apps and games, but it may not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games available nowadays.
Even though the LAVA A44 is quite thin it's not even close to being one of the thinnest devices on sale, with a thickness of 0.4". Lava only sells the LAVA A44 in color 16 777 216. It appears that Lava forgot about optimizing the weight in this 4.94 oz cellphone. Talking about its body materials, this cellphone is mainly built with Plastic .
This phone has a nice 4" screen with a 480 x 800 resolution, which makes everything look great.
This device is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera.
This cellphone features wi-fi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high speed internet connection and fast 3G internet connection, using HSPA and HSUPA technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a SIM card, because it's not a GSM cellphone.
The LAVA A44 also includes some nice features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones and accessories), GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This cellphone packs a 1500 mAh mid capacity non-removable battery, which is not really enough for a phone like this. A key issue to consider is that this phone's battery is non-removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to get older, having to buy a new phone to "solve it".
